No Sun For This Voyager

Image
I was playing with sky replacement in Luminar Neo the other day.  This is a daytime photo of "The Sun Voyager" statue on the shore of Reykjavik Harbour.  I changed it to black and white and add the starry sky for a much different look from the original.

Purple Bulb

Image
Here I am still experimenting with the light-bulb-on-the-iPad photography.  I like the purple hues in this one.

Wine Glasses in a Row

Image
Here is a black and white shot of four wine glasses standing in a row inside my light box.  I was trying to recreate a shot that I had seen where the one at the back had wine in it.   In my shots, I could never see the wine in the last glass.... so I drank it and moved on.

New Lens Ball Shot

Image
Still working on my glass ball photography.   Here's one from yesterday.  Some edits in Snapseed and Luminar Neo.

Splash!

Image
Have been wanting to play with splash photography for a while but never seem to have a chance.  Last night I set up the 'splash zone' with my iPhone on a tripod.  I used various methods - photo, video, slo-mo, live.  It was fun but I would prefer more clarity so may have to move from the native camera to a camera app that gives me more control over shutter speed.  This example from last night's play was edited in Snapseed and then Prisma.

After the Rains

Image
Wednesday of this week was full of rain in Arizona thanks to the storms that moved in from California.  It was a soggy day then followed by a beautiful rainbow.  Here are a couple of rainbow shots.

Wandering Coyote

Image
Here's one more view of the coyote wandering around the golf course in search of his lunch.  Original photo was modified with the Prisma app on the iPad.

On the Hunt

Image
We saw a couple of coyotes on the golf course yesterday.  This fine fellow was intent on having a rodent for his lunch and was focused on the rodent holes.   Original photo was cropped and edited with Luminar Neo.

Stories He Could Tell

Image
I spotted this fellow last week, hunched over his drink at a bar, and I wondered what stories he could tell.  The original iPhone photo was run through the Enlight app on the iPad to add a more painterly look.

Signs of Spring

Image
At this time of year, the Mexican Gold Poppies lay out a yellow carpet at the base of Picacho Peak in Arizona.  It is a magnificent sight and an acknowledgment that Spring is almost here.

Tons 'o Snow!

Image
There was quite a dump of snow in our part of Arizona overnight.  What's happening with global warming??!!??
