Sun Peeking

Image
In this morning sunrise shot, the sun seems to be peeking through some low clouds at the horizon.

Reef Life

Image
This fine fish is eyeballing people outside his tank in the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto.

Gloomy Day on the Bridge

Image
There was plenty of rain in the area last month.   Here is my grandson out for a stroll testing out my new golf umbrella and wondering when the weather will allow us to golf again.

Got One

Image
The fellow on the right has a nice fish on the line (or a bad snag) !  Photo was taken on the waterways around Toronto Island.  Cropping was done in Luminar NEO with the CompositionAI tool.

Moon's Up!

Image
Full moon rising as viewed from the shore of Lake Ontario in Grimsby.

Sun's Up!!

Image
Here are a couple of recent sunrises over Lake Ontario.  With today being our house move, I'll no longer have this vantage point for such orange beauty.

Eyeballing You

Image
Up close and personal with this tortoise at Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto.

Hey! Wait for Me!

Image
Having some fun with last month's photo group challenge called "Under My Umbrella".   This is my grandson 'flying' down to the Maid of the Mist as it sails past the American Falls at Niagara.

Rainbow on the Lake

Image
Occasionally, a sun dog will appear in the sky when the sun shines through ice crystals in the atmosphere to make a rainbow in the sky.  In the left side of this photo, a rainbow in the sky reflects onto Lake Ontario.

Red & Yellow Tulips

Image
Here are a couple more iPhone shots from the photo outing to the JP Niagara Tulip Experience.  Love the red and yellows!!

Indigo Jelly

Image
The jelly fish exhibits at the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto are beautiful, especially the ones with the vibrant colours.

Pondering Tulips

Image
While visiting the tulip farm last week, I noticed this young lady standing very still, presumably thinking about the tulips.  Her floral dress seemed to be appropriate for the location and her stillness made for an interesting shot.  The only editing done to the photo was a minor crop to position her along the 'rule of thirds'.

Sunrise Through the Lens Ball

Image
I captured this sunrise a week or so ago using my 100mm lens ball.

Longing for Sunshine

Image
The Grimsby Photography Group has monthly photo assignments and last month's assignment was "Under My Umbrella".  This was one of my two submissions.

Happy Ray

Image
The nice thing about walking under the glass tunnel at the Ripley Aquarium is seeing the creatures from different angles.  The ray's are particularly interesting from underneath as they appear to have a big, wide smile.  Happy Ray!

Toronto Skyline

Image
I think the best way to get shots of the Toronto skyline is from a boat in Toronto Harbour.  These were taken last weekend while on a harbour and Toronto Island tour.

Sunset Reflection

Image
I saw this scene whilst driving through some country roads and did a quick U-turn to go back and shoot it.  The pond was large and close to the road.  The sun was setting.  The tree made for a lovely reflected silhouette.  It was selected by CHCH News to air during their broadcast and represents my 8th photo on CHCH.

Having a Ball at the Tulip Farm

Image
Earlier this week I went to a fun photo outing at JP Niagara Tulip Experience in North Pelham.  There weren't many places to set down my 100mm lens ball but I did find a Muskoka Chair with an inviting arm. In the coming days I will share more tulip photos from the visit.

Shark!

Image
This bad boy swam over us as we travelled through the glass tunnel at Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto.   Original photo was edited with the Prisma app on the iPad.

Sunset Reflection

Image
Too much time away from the blog and I have a backlog of shots ready to load in.  Here's a start with a recent sunset in Grimsby Ontario, reflected in a nearby stream.  It was worth getting muddy knees to get my iPhone as close as possible to water level!
