My Arizona neighbour and good friend, Jim, has a beautiful yellow 1971 Jaguar in his garage (likely the only one in the world whose engine was swapped out for a Shelby Cobra!).  I have been trying to coax the Midjourney AI engine to produce a photo-realistic image of Jim's car.  So far, I am not happy with what I have been able to coax out of Midjourney.  The images are too cartoonish, not very photo realistic.  Clearly, I need to improve my skills working with Midjourney.  

 I have heard of a balloon festival but never the smaller tethered version of a balloon festival called a "glow".  Here are a couple of shots taken a couple of weeks ago at the Eloy Balloon Glow.

 I stopped yesterday to shoot this water tower by the railway line near Red Rock Arizona.  To give a more dated look I used the Orange Zest preset in the Formulas app.

  Passed by these lovely palm trees while on a road trip to California last week.

 While passing through El Centro on a road trip last week, we looked up to see a squadron of US Navy Blue Angels practicing their flight routines.  From the passenger seat of the car, I shot this photo with my iPhone as the planes shot across in front of us.  Underneath each wing of each plane, in yellow letters, is “U.S. Navy”.  This aerobatic team was founded in 1946 and currently flies single seat F/A-18E Super Hornet aircraft.

 While on a tour in Monument Valley, our Navajo guide took us to some ‘off the beaten tourist path’ places. This formation, he told us, is called “Eagle’s Eye”.

 There are two monuments called ‘the mittens’ among the many spectacular formations in Monument Valley.  Here is a photo of one of the mittens.

 Monument Valley stretches between Utah and Arizona and is full of stunning monuments as well as Navajo history.  It is a magical place! This photo was edited using the Prisma app.

Gooseneck State Park in Utah offers a beautiful, up close view of this amazing landscape. It’s a must see if road tripping near by.

When travelling resumes after the pandemic, this Ferris wheel in Niagara Falls will once again spin tourists to a great vantage spot to see the falls.

This photo was taken out of the car window on a road trip.  Location was Estancia, New Mexico, just south of Moriarity.  I thought the photo looked best if adjusted to look dated by applying a sepia and a bit of distress.
