This is one of Venice's hard working gondoliers. The shot was taken from inside his gondola while he propelled us along the Grand Canal. This, and other Venice photos, may be found in the Italy collection within the Europe Gallery at www.fourlens.ca

Engine Order Telegraph
Whilst wandering the engine room on the HMCS Haida, I spotted this Engine Order Telegraph. Also known as the E.O.T. or Chadburn, this is a communications device that enables the ship's pilot to order engineers in the engine room to power the vessel at a certain desired speed. Always curious to see what the Prisma app can do with my photos, I ran the original photo through Prisma on my iPad and selected this version from the ones I created in the app.
Don't Jump!
In keeping with the minimalist images I posted yesterday, I decided to have a go with my iPhone. This one had three challenges: 1. cutting the construction paper at the right angle to give a 3D illusion, 2. getting the egg to stay standing long enough to take the photo, 3. positioning a light source to get the shadow in the right spot. Photo was taken in Apple RAW with iPhone 14 Pro Max and edited slightly in Luminar NEO to remove blemishes.
