The saguaro cactus can lead a long life, exceeding 100 years. As seen on the left of this photo, they can be photogenic even after they have passed on the the great desert in the sky!
This boy is really lost. He was photographed at Heritage Pioneer Village and then placed in a photo of a doorway at Balls Falls. Final editing touches were done with the DistressedFX app.
This fellow was trying to have a nap but the photo safari vehicle kept pulling up beside him. So he decided to pull this threatening pose in hopes he could scare away the tourists and get back to his afternoon nap.
This is the pier at Imperial Beach, California, just outside San Diego. To get the seagull in the picture, I asked someone to approach it from the right and encourage it to head into the frame. The seagull decided to cooperate.
This lone fellow was roaming the Serengeti. The photo was converted to black and white to match the striping on the animal. The vignette is intended to allow better focus on the subject and eliminate distractions. The above edits were done using the Dramatic B&W app. Other distractions were cleaned up with the Retouch app.
This photo was taken some time ago at the Serengeti National Park. The technology at the time was slides. When the slide was converted to digital a few weeks ago, the result did not have the best photo quality. Using the Prisma app to add more of an artwork look hides the deficiencies from the conversion to digital.
Heading out to morning fishing yesterday, we boated by this dock adorned with a colourful set of Muskoka chairs. There’s also a nice reflection of the colours in the water.
The Maasai ladies in East Africa wear amazing bead necklaces. Red represents bravery. White blue and white represent purity and peace. Green represents health. Orange is used as a sign of hospitality. Black signifies the struggle of the Maasai people.
